1. Who can use SATHI
You must be 18 or older and in India. If you are younger, please don't use SATHI; if you tell SATHI you are under 18, it shows you support lines, stops the conversation and deletes what you shared.
2. What SATHI is, and what it is not
SATHI is an AI emotional wellbeing app: a private chat that helps you talk through hard days. Replies are written by an AI, not a person. SATHI is not therapy, counselling, medical care or diagnosis, it is not an emergency service, and nobody watches conversations in real time. SATHI cannot call anyone or send help. If you or someone near you is in danger, open Help Now or call emergency services.
AI replies can be wrong, incomplete or unsuitable. Use your own judgement, and don't rely on SATHI for medical, legal, financial or safety decisions.
3. Your account
When you sign in with a Google (Gmail) account, keep it secure. SATHI Plus needs that sign-in. One account is for one person. You can delete your account and everything in it at any time in About me.
4. The free window and SATHI Plus
- When SATHI Plus is open, your first 12 hours of full access are free, counted from the first message you send.
- SATHI Plus is a monthly software subscription. The price is shown on Pricing and in the app before you pay, and includes any taxes. It renews automatically every month through UPI AutoPay or a card e-mandate until you cancel.
- Payments are processed by our payment provider. We never see your card, bank or UPI details.
- If we change the price, we will tell you in the app at least 30 days before it applies to you, and you can cancel before then.
- Help Now, crisis support, About me and Delete everything are always free.
5. Cancelling and refunds
You can cancel at any time; you keep SATHI Plus to the end of the month you paid for. You can ask for a full refund within 7 days of any charge. The details are on Refunds and cancellation.
6. Acceptable use
Please don't use SATHI to break the law, to harass or harm anyone, to try to get instructions for self-harm or violence, to attack or overload the service, to scrape it, or to get around its safety features or limits. We may pause or close an account that does, and we will refund any unused paid time unless the law prevents it.
7. Your content
What you write to SATHI is yours. You let us process it only to run SATHI for you, as the Privacy Notice explains. We don't sell it or use it for advertising.
8. Our service
SATHI, its name, design and software belong to us. We work to keep SATHI available, but it may sometimes be slow or unavailable, and we may change or stop features. If we stop SATHI Plus, we will refund any unused paid time.
9. Limits of our liability
SATHI is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer under Indian law.
10. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app before the change applies. The date at the top shows the latest version.
11. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. We would like to resolve any problem with you directly first: write to Srijonisanyal135@gmail.com. Otherwise, the courts at Kolkata, West Bengal, India have jurisdiction. This does not affect your right to complain to a consumer commission where you live.
